Calculus vs. mathematical analysis

Hi, folks! While reading about mathematics I find the words calculus and mathematical analysis, both referring -if I correctly understand- to the science called analisi matematica in Italian. I suppose the difference lies in the area of what is called analisi matematica covered by calculus and mathematical analysis respectively...
Can anybody tell more about the subject?
