Design and Stability Analysis of Large-scale Fuzzy Systems under Decentralized Parallel Distributed Compensation via LMI
ABSTRACT
Mainly for their powerful abilities to treat system uncertainties and utilize expert’s knowledge, fuzzy control technology has become increasingly popular. The use of fuzzy control theory to the control of large-scale systems results large-scale fuzzy systems, i.e. large-scale systems composed of a series of fuzzy subsystems.
This seminar will present the design and stability analysis of large-scale fuzzy systems under the decentralized parallel distributed compensation. First, we give the concept of decentralized parallel distributed compensation (DPDC), and then the closed-loop large scale T-S fuzzy system is formulated. Using LMI, a series of sufficient conditions for continuous and discrete time large-scale fuzzy systems, as well as large-scale uncertainty fuzzy systems under DPDC are derived. Once a feasible solution of LMI exists, the corresponding DPDC fuzzy controller stabilizing the closed-loop system can be computed quite easily. Numerical examples show that LMI is a powerful tool in the analytic design of large-scale fuzzy control systems.
