Hello everyone!

I had a really short time for my preparation to the IELTS test and I have to take at least 6.5.
Now I have less than ten days... please help me I'm very discouraged in this moment :(
I have good results in listening and reading sections (more than 7), but I have to improve my scores in writing and speaking.
I found writing section really hard, speaking isn't easy too, but I think that it's easier to improvise during a conversasion than during an essay.
Do you have any advice for me? any tips?

(If there are some mistakes, please correct me.)

Thank you,
Mary.

Why simple past?
I haven't got any advice, I am dump as an ox in English!
I can just say: Cross finghers!

If you want to write something, just do it: someone may read and correct it.

I don't like to correct people, also because I'm not a native English speaker.

@gio73
The correct expression is: fingers crossed!

Only now I realized that the post is old! By the way maybe someone else will look at it in the future.
My recommendation is to read a lot. We've learned how to write by reading. You have to do the same when you learn a new language.

I have heard the expression cross finghers pronounced by a teacher of English, but maybe she was wrong.

I heard cross fingers too, but I think it means "incrociate/incrocia le dita"
whereas fingers crossed " dita incrociate.

When it comes to writing, there are no shortcuts. The only way to improve your writing skills is to read a lot and practice. This section of the test measures how well you structure your ideas, so the correct grammar is only one part of the evaluation. If you are not used to writing essays, you won't get a good score even in your native language. So, read news, articles and so on and practice a lot!

I've done that and got great scores!
