Honestly looking on web I haven't found, actually, a forbidding to use ''take a train'', and I believe that could be common in American english. I would rather use take a train instead of catch the train, I like more the first option.

Hi seven
Aren't you curios about me?
I want to practice the writing!

About English: I've changed my English teacher (the first one has found another job, teaching isn't the most wonderful job in the world, you know); well she said that "to catch the bus/train..." means "to get in the bus/train..." but if we want to give a suggesstion, we use to take; for example:

A: Gasp! my car's broken!
B: Don't worry, we'll take a train

I don't think teaching is so bad!
I would rather do it than programming eight hours at day behind a desk.
I wouldn't mind teaching at the secondary school one day.
Then, Gio tell me about your city and about your region, what do You like about and what not.
I'm still curious, Although I already know how old are you.
However, I wouldn't have asked your age because it's not polite! If You want answer You are welcome ; ladies first

I'm pretty young :-D
I can say that I'm lucky to live in a wonderful-but-not-so-big city - or maybe I think so just because I was born here and currently I still live here, even I can't see the sea from my home, but who cares? :)

About take/catch train: my english teacher says that to take is used to mean to get physically, materially something that you can transport. I think the best form is "to catch the train" - but this is only my reasoning.

Hi gio!
I'm happy that you can rest for a moment - or at least that you have more time to spend for yourself :)

Job? Pfuh! Do you remember that I told you about that company which contacted me and asked me to waiting its "sure feedback" for 2 weeks? I'm still waiting now... Meanwhile, I continue my master (I've already done 4 exams, the last one just yesterday) and moreover I'm preparing for the Esame di Stato (am I a bit masochist to do these two things together?).

I hope to be of interest for that company in which I'll do stage in order to complete the master in this winter, we'll see :)
