Hey! How is it that everybody here has studied abroad? I thought it was an unusual habit but I'm changing my mind!

Slow down, Marco... :-D I was there last year for just three months (but I would have
preferred at least 2 more) working at my Master's thesis.
Now I applied to the PhD program hosted in the Institute I had been working in,
and am waiting for the outcome. I'll probably head back there in August if they admit me
with an adequate fellowship/scholarship, but I shall make up my mind
whether to accept their offer or other PhD programs in France, Germany and Australia that I applied for. :)

Do think that a studying experience abroad is worth it? Does PhD correspond to our "Laura Magistrale"?

It is definitely worthwhile, and I strongly recommend you to undertake it.
PhD corresponds to our "Dottorato di Ricerca", which is the highest educational qualification achievable.
I already own a Master's degree (our "Laurea Magistrale"). I still cannot figure out why in the US students
are allowed to enter PhD programs having just a Bachelor's degree, which is worth even less than our "Laurea triennale",
according to what I heard from some people in Academia, but on the other hand, they require
students from abroad to own a Master's degree...

Oh ok I see. And what kind of experience would you suggest? Studying one year abroad, prepare a master abroad or what? I ask because I'm still in high school and I have no idea of the wide range of opportunities I'll have in two years.

You'll have plenty of time to think about that, so don't rush... ;)
It's all up to you... I decided to prepare part of my Master's thesis in the US
(being accepted by my hosting supervisor and paid a monthly stipend during my stay),
but you may want to do something else, such as Erasmus or so.
