is a "manifold" exactly what we italians call "varieta" ??

Go to the roots, of these calculations! Group the operations.
Classify them according to their complexities rather than their appearances!

Not exactly... there exists in English another term, "variety", which means "varietà" (topologica); "manifold", instead, is usually used for what we call "varietà differenziabile".
