I see. If you are interested in that, however, you have to know that the convolution integral is a basic tool in the study of linear and time-invariant systems. Unfortunately it's a complicated procedure and that's often too difficult to approach it without the help of a graph... That's one of the reasons for what the study of LTI systems is often made by using the tools of Laplace and Fourier trasforms, which convert the convolution integral into a simple product.
