stavo studiando i modelli logit da libro di Brooks - Introductory Econometrics for Finance, 3° ed.
Nel box 12.1 si parla dell'interpretazione dei coefficienti in un modello logit
The form of the function is \(P_i = F(\beta_1 + \beta_2 x_i + u_i) \) where F represents the logistic-function
[omissis]
To obtain the required relationship between changes in \(\displaystyle x_i \) and \(\displaystyle P_i \), we would need to differentiate \(\displaystyle F \) with respect to \(\displaystyle x_i \) and it turns out that this derivative is \(\beta_2 F(x_i) \)
Tuttavia non riesco a trovare questa derivata in letteratura. La funzione logistica è:
\(F(x) = \dfrac{1}{1+\exp(-x)}\)
e la sua derivata
\( \dfrac{\partial F(x)}{\partial x} = F(x) (1-F(x)) \neq F(x) \)
Come perlatro dimostrato su wikipedia
Qualcuno mi aiuta?
