In uno spazio di Hilbert \( \mathcal{H} \) una successione \( (x_n )_{n \in \mathbb{N} } \subseteq \mathcal{H} \) si dice Fejér-monotona rispetto ad un \( C \subseteq \mathcal{H} \) se per ogni \( x \in C \) e per ogni \( n \in \mathbb{N} \) si ha \[ \|x_{n+1} - x \| \le \|x_n - x \|. \]
Supponiamo ora che \( K \subseteq \mathcal{H} \) sia non vuoto, chiuso e convesso. Se \( (x_n )_{n \in \mathbb{N} } \subseteq \mathcal{H} \) è Fejér-monotona rispetto a \( K \), mostrare che la successione delle proiezioni \( (P_K (x_n) )_{n \in \mathbb{N} } \) è fortemente (i.e. in norma) convergente ad un punto \( \in K \).
