Di funzioni generiche $RR^n$ a $RR$ ce ne sono anche di biiettive, non solo iniettive. Di funzioni continue e iniettive, o biiettive, non ce ne sono, è un argomento abbastanza semplice: se $f : \mathbb R^n \to \mathbb R$ è iniettiva e continua, allora $f|_{\mathbb{R}^n\setminus\{p\}}$ ha per immagine $f(RR) \setminus\{f(p)\}$, che tuttavia è sconnesso. Assurdo.
